The death of an 86-year-old man who fell in the street was accidental, an inquest decided yesterday.
John Brown, of Boulters Barn Cottage, Churchill Road, Chipping Norton, fell outside Sainsbury’s in Chipping Norton on June 6 this year.
The retired chartered accountant was admitted to Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital with a head injury and underwent surgery.
The inquest at Oxfordshire Coroner’s Court heard he died on June 16 from hospital-acquired pneumonia as a consequence of a blood clot on the brain.
