For goodness sake, how much longer are we going to have to put up with this political tit-for-tat, 'Wealthy' can't afford to pay (Oxford Mail, December 2).

I am fed up with the non-stop back biting of Messrs Robins and Billington who continue to use your columns to fight their personal battles as they clearly do not have the gumption to stand in front of each other to resolve their differences.

The truth is that both of them are political lightweights in the true sense of the word.

That they continue to carve each other into small pieces, using your columns rather than doing anything to further the local community, is just typical.

In May next year, Kidlington will once again see local elections. Unfortunately, a good number of councillors who have worked tirelessly for the past four years will lose their seats, primarily because the residents will vote for a political party before an individual.

There is absolutely no room whatsoever for politics in local government. Councils like Kidlington need people who are going to make a contribution, not just talk about it.
