LITTLE explorers discovered the secrets of the woods at a “forest school”.
About 40 parents and toddlers turned up to Friday’s session run by Little Wittenham’s Earth Trust.
Christina Reinhard, 32, from Didcot, who attended with two-year-old Sonia, said: “It was the first time we had been and I was surprised how many people turned up.
“We were finding out about the different plants and animals in and near the forest.”
All the explorers were given a butterfly-shaped piece of paper to stick flowers to as they went.
In the woods they found caterpillars, slugs and snails and used guides on hand to identify them.
Miss Reinhard added: “It was definitely good fun, I am sure we’ll go back.”
