MEMBERS of the University of the Third Age have been warned not to try to contact their national headquarters which has been hit by a major fire.

The fire, at the base in Bromley, damaged a large part of the offices. A spokesman said: "We are in the process of looking for temporary accommodation and will be operating a skeleton service out of employees' houses in the next few days, but in the meantime there is no point in mailing or phoning."
