The reality TV show I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here is best known for its stomach-churning 'bushtucker trials', sobbing stars and tabloid-filling gossip.

But it also does a lot of good for charity.

Some of the cash from the vote lines goes to good causes nominated by the stars.

We always felt Oxfordshire resident Jason Donovan was a cut above the rest of the celebs this year.

Now we know we were right.

The news he has nominated the Oxford Children's Hospital to receive around £200,000 raised in his name is simply fantastic.

He and his wife Ange, who have a home in Oxfordshire, have been blessed with two healthy children.

But he knows his good fortune - and, like any parent, knows he might one day have to call upon the top healthcare which the new hospital will offer.

His donation will again raise the profile of the new hospital and make the task of attracting the rest of the cash needed so much easier for the Chox fundraising team.

Thanks, Jason - you're our King of the Jungle.
