Sir - The attempt by your correspondent Nicholas Wilson (Letters, November 24) to link the correspondence criticising Prof Dawkins to the Spanish Inquisition and 'the terrorism we read of today" is absurd.

He should perhaps address the fanaticism of atheism, which managed to murder more people in the 20th century than religious zealots have managed in all of history, and whose advocates for that reason, if no other, should be treated with suspicion.
