A 30-YEAR-OLD woman died today after a car left the road in south Oxfordshire and hit a tree.

The crash happened at about 8.45am when a blue Renault Laguna left the B4012 between Tetsworth and Postcombe.

The driver, who was the only person in the vehicle, died later at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.

She has been formally identified as 30-year-old Shazia Ghafoor from Hayes in Middlesex. She ws the 58th person to die on the roads in the county this year.

PC Peter Billingham, of Abingdon Roads Police base, said: "We would like to hear from anyone saw this collision.

"We are particularly keen to speak to the driver of an L-registration black Rover who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the incident."
