A depressed 27-year-old doctor hanged himself, an inquest heard.
Amit Mishra, of Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands, was found in his student accommodation at Harris Manchester College, Mansfield Way.
He was a qualified doctor and studied at the Oxford University college for mature students.
A statement by GP Meriel Raine said he suffered from depression.
On Thursday, assistant deputy coroner Peter Clark recorded a verdict Dr Mishra took his own life.
