Thieves made off with thousands of pounds worth of shoes after breaking into a container at the back of a shop.

A total of 900 pairs of shoes worth £18,000 were taken from the storage yard of Brantano in the Oxford Retail Park, Blackbird Leys, last month.

The incident happened three weeks ago, at some time between Tuesday, November 14 and Thursday, November 16, but Thames Valley Police only released details today.

Pc Amanda Millin, the investigating officer, said: "A large vehicle would be needed to move this amount of stolen goods in one go."

Anyone with information should contact Pc Millin on 08458 505505 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
