A FORMER Oxford United striker has appeared before a court accused of having sex in a public place.
Steve Anthrobus, 38, who played for United between June 1999 and May 2001, faces three charges of outraging public decency. He appeared with co-defendant, Debbie Matthews, 40, at Walsall Magistrates' Court.
Both face one charge of having sex within sight of members of the public between March 1 and June 7, one of having sex in public, witnessed by a child on June 7 and another of having sex in public in June 8.
The case was adjourned and Anthrobus, of Birmingham, and Matthews, of Staffordshire, are to appear before Wolverhampton Crown Court on December 14.
