A NURSERY forced to close last week after concerns were raised children could be put at risk of harm reopened yesterday.
Ofsted inspectors suspended The Co-operative Childcare, Blackbird Leys Nursery in Cuddesdon Way’s registration to provide childcare for six weeks from Monday, July 15.
They raised concerns suitably qualified trained staff and managers had not been identified since the suspension of staff.
Adult-to-child ratios were inadequate and there had been a large number of accidents, while staff had been suspended for poor conduct.
Co-operative Childcare spokesman Nigel Pipkin said: “After a follow-up meeting by Ofsted inspectors our nursery will re-open.
“We have addressed all the issues raised which led to the temporary closure and, in fact, Ofsted has told us ours was one of the best action plan responses seen in a very long time.
“The team is delighted to be opening again so quickly.”
Ofsted spokeswoman Nikki Blemings could not confirm whether the suspension had been lifted.
