A WOMAN in her twenties was knocked unconscious as she was assaulted in a pub car park in West Oxfordshire.
Police are appealing for information following the attack last Wednesday, at 9.35pm.
The victim was walking along Black Bourton Road, towards the centre of Carterton when she was attacked.
As she walked through the Beehive pub car park, she was grabbed from behind by at least one man and was struck on the face.
The woman was knocked out and regained consciousness a short distance from where she was hit. She quickly went back to an address along the Black Bourton Road to call police.
Pc Claire Sadler, investigating the incident, said: "This appears to be a completely unprovoked attack, leaving the victim with bruises to her face and body. I would urge anyone who has any information to come forward."
