A MAJOR business win has led an Oxford firm to relocate and quadruple its workforce.

Information technology security specialist Quadsys is the first in the country to be named a Sophos Gold Solution Partner.

The new partnership allows the company to provide customers with a range of Sophos products, which protect more than 100,000 businesses and 100 million users in 150 countries.

As a result, Quadsys has relocated to new offices in the Oxford Office Village in Langford Lane, Kidlington, from smaller premises in the village and seen its staff grow from four to 17.

Managing director Paul Cox said: “We are coming up to our fifth year and turnover has grown by £1m a year which isn’t bad given when we started in 2008.

“It has been hard work and to receive Sophos Gold Solution Partner status is fantastic.”

The expansion was funded by a mortgage from Lloyds TSB via the Funding for Lending Scheme.

Mike Hemmings, of Lloyds TSB Commercial Banking, said: “The hard work of Paul and his team helped them to become a Sophos Gold Solution Partner, which just adds to the firm’s reputation.”
