ABINGDON woman Lindsey Russell is one step away from becoming the 36th presenter of the world’s longest-running children’s TV show.
Ms Russell, 22, is down to the last three out of 20,000 applicants for the job as the next Blue Peter presenter and is the final woman standing.
The Bristol University student will compete against Ben Hunte and Freddie Ingleby for the coveted position. In the final challenge, the applicants will take part in a recording in the Blue Peter studio.
CBBC viewers will then vote online for their favourite finalist.
