Sir – Notwithstanding the stiff recent increase in university tuition fees to a — frankly — high limit at £9,000 a year, some universities are not happy and are pressing for a limit of £14,000, an increase of more than 50 per cent.
Bristol University and two others are reportedly in the rogues’ gallery which is putting off the disadvantaged from applying for a priceless university education.
