DAD-of-five Jamie Brackett sped to the finish line during a popular race that returned last year after a 20-year absence.
The Blackbird Leys Mile took place on Saturday and more than 200 people took part.
Mr Brackett, 35, won with a time of five minutes. He remembers winning it three times in the late 80s and early 90s, and said: “All of my children want to follow me now I’ve won.”
Stuart Craft, who coaches the IWCA Athletics Club in Blackbird Leys, co-organises the event with Paul Brackett, 54, who started it in the 1980s.
Mr Craft, 47, from Blackbird Leys, said: “We had about the same number of runners as last year.”
