Friends of Oxpens Meadow will gather there tomorrow for the unveiling of a stone showing the land is now designated a Queen Elizabeth II playing field.
Rosemary Fennell, chairman of the Friends group, will watch as Lord Mayor Dee Sinclair unveils the stone at 2.30pm.
The fields in trust scheme was brought in last year for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
Mrs Fennell said: “The scheme means Oxpens Meadow will be kept for the public.”
