SO the National Health Service is losing money due to overseas visitors failing to pay. The answer is simple: no treatment until they provide proof of insurance or a valid credit card.
I understand that in America you will not even be put in an ambulance without such proof.
People leave hospital without payment, but if they left a hotel or cafe without paying, they would be taken to court.
I have paid my way since 1958 and have very little cause to use hospital in-patients’ services.
Why cannot the authorities see a simple answer?
