CAKES, biscuits and other delicious baked goods went on display at an Oxford primary school as it hosted its own bake-off.
More than 130 pupils, parents and staff took part in the Great Windmill Bake-Off at Windmill Primary School in Headington.
Judges, including Great British Bake-Off contestant Ben Frazer, far left, and Oxford chef Tanya Evans, right, tucked in before picking winners on Thursday.
Leah Hudson, 10, centre, from Headington, the winner in the Key Stage Two small cakes section, said: “I’m very excited. I never expected to win.”
Grace Edwards-Grundy, eight, from Headington, won the biscuit category for her age group with her butterscotch biscuits.
She said: “I was quite surprised to win. I bake them lots, so they are really simple for me.”
The entries were then sold to raise money for the school’s £20,000 artificial turf pitch fund.
