VIBRANT colours and sweet smells filled the grounds of Blenheim Palace yesterday as a new flower show burst into bloom. It is the first time the Woodstock stately home has held the three-day show – which runs until Sunday – and it featured 150 exhibitors.
Nurseries including the RHS gold medal-winning Primrose Bank Nursery, Heucheraholics, Devine Nursery, Roualeyn Fuchsias, Rougham Hall Nursery and Apuldram Roses are all exhibiting their produce.
Gardening celebrity Christine Walkden will be at the show today and tomorrow and will hold two Q&A sessions for the public each day.
Allie Maybrey, assistant manager of Bampton Garden Plants, said: “It has been bustling, energetic, full-on, lots of fun and lovely people.”
