A MAN and a woman police want to question about a theft from a pensioner may also have information about two other incidents.
On Monday police released CCTV images of the pair after an 83-year-old woman’s purse was stolen near the Waitrose supermarket in the Woolgate Centre, Witney, on May 30.
Officers say a second purse was stolen just 30 minutes later at 1.30pm in Moorland Close, Witney.
A woman approached an elderly woman and asked for change. While the pensioner was distracted her purse was stolen.
The following day on Saturday, June 1, a woman was approached near Waitrose, in Abbey Close, Abingdon, by a woman asking for directions. While she was giving directions debit cards were stolen. Police think the three incidents could be linked.
Anyone with information should call Pc Katherine Giles on 101.
