Abingdon Lions Club were proud to present a heart defibrillator kit to the Volunteer First Responders.
The First Responders are the first port of call for people calling 999 for chest pains in circumstances when the Ambulance Service is busy.
A defibrillator and oxygen supply, kept at the responder’s home, costs £2,500 and it is the third such unit Abingdon Lions Club has donated in the past four years. It will cover the North Abingdon/ Sunningwell area. On behalf of Abingdon Lions Club, I would like to thank the people of Abingdon for their continuing support, without such we would be unable to purchase these life saving kits. Thank you.
RICHARD TERRY, Abingdon Lions Club, Rivy Close, Abingdon
