WHAT a great year for Germany.
Great success at football. Their one-time ally, Croatia, is about to join the Euro and EU. Germany’s leader Angela Merkel’s popularity is at an all-time high.
It’s like 1940 all over again. Italy, among others, seems to be having second thoughts about being in the Euro.
Germany is to close all their nuclear power stations leaving them at the mercy of the Russian power companies.
For Germany its urge to dominate Europe, this time via the Euro, will fail, as did the two previous attempts — World Wars I and II.
When will they ever learn?
