Sir – I am writing a book about New Zealanders who flew from Britain in the last year of the war. I am trying to find family or friends of a man called Williamson Charles John Beeson.

He was the sole survivor of a Lancaster, shot down over Stuttgart on July 29, 1944. The pilot was New Zealander George Joblin. Beeson was born in Buckinghamshire 1911 and died in Oxfordshire in 1996. If you can help, please contact me at maxlambert@paradise.net.nz, number 0064-4-973-9436 or write to me at the address below.
