IN support of Barbara Taylor (The road to nowhere, ViewPoints, June 18), I have to agree London Road, Headington, is an absolute disgrace and is in dire need of repairs now.
It was allegedly said the road is to be resurfaced in 2014. What is wrong with doing it in 2013?
I live in Thame and have reported the state of some of the roads around the town to the county council whose reply was: ‘They are okay but we will monitor them’.
I suggest the councillor responsible for the roads in the county gets out of his ivory tower and goes around the county and inspects the roads himself.
If not he should resign and let someone else do the job and while he is at it, take Mr Hudspeth with him.
If they say they have no money then I suggest they spend some of their cash reserves, or are they meant for other issues..
