I’VE just learned a very interesting phrase used by the US medical industry and I think it may impact on some of your readers, eventually.

It goes something like ‘medical loss ratio’ and it means every cent spent on patient care from insurance premiums is regarded as a loss.

It’s almost as though they resent the fact they have to pay anything at all to make people better. Just thought it worth mentioning as that’s the way the nasty coalition are pushing our NHS, towards health insurance.

Another reason why the Tories were discussing limiting the amount of GP visits one can have, unless of course you are rich. What a disgrace.
