ST Andrew’s Primary School in Headington has become the first in Oxford to be given Fairtrade status.
The school, in London Road, follows six other Oxfordshire schools to be given the status, which is awarded by the Fairtrade Foundation.
To receive the accolade, the school had to meet five goals which included Fairtrade being taught in three different subject areas, setting up a Fairtrade steering committee and Fairtrade promotion activities in school each term.
