A WOMAN found injured in Oxford city centre said she had been hit by a man during the early hours of yesterday.
Two men alerted police after finding the 18-year-old woman in Fisher Row, off Hythe Bridge Street, pictured, who appeared to be badly hurt.
Thames Valley Police spokesman Lucy Billen said the woman, who had a red mark on her cheek, told officers she had been hit by a man.
The attack is being treated as an assault without injury, and it is not thought the victim required hospital treatment.
Officers cordoned off the row, which runs alongside Oxford Canal and links Hythe Bridge Street and Park End Street, until 1.45pm yesterday.
