A plane was forced to make an emergency landing at Oxford Airport yesterday after developing a problem with its landing gear.
Firefighters and paramedics assembled on the runway after a distress call was sent out shortly before noon. The light aircraft had set out from the airport in Kidlington for an unknown UK destination.
As a precaution, it had to circle the airport until its fuel supply was depleted, before making an emergency landing at about 2pm.
None of the three crew members were hurt.
