THIS is the second part of a panoramic picture of pupils and staff at the Oxford Central Girls’ School in New Inn Hall Street, Oxford, in 1936.
It was found in the possession of Christine Kilbee, of North Hinksey Village, formerly Christine Hann, of Canal Street, Jericho.
It was sent in by her nephew, Peter Couling, of North Hinksey Lane.
As we have recalled, the school, whose roots go back to 1797, was based in New Inn Hall Street from 1882 to 1959 when it moved to Headington and became Cheney Girls Grammar School.
The third and final part of the picture will appear soon.
