THEY are some of the greatest artists in European history.
And now some of their sketches from the Ashmolean Museum’s priceless collection are going on show.
The Beaumont Street museum is showing a selection of its drawings by artists such as Leonardo, Michelangelo and Raphael.
Dr Jon Whiteley, senior curator of European art, said: “Drawings provide a unique insight into artists’ thoughts and working methods.
“Visitors to this exhibition will have the chance to take in works of the greatest quality, drawn by some of the most famous artists in the history of western art.”
The exhibition runs until Sunday, August 18.
