First Great Western confirmed that a bull is still loose in fields next to the track in Appleford.
Police and the farmer are doing their best to catch the animal, a FGW spokeswoman said.
Trains between Oxford and Didcot are traveling more slowly through the area with delays of up to 25 minutes.
