OXFORD’S new Lord Mayor ushered in her year in office with the traditional parade through the city.
Labour’s Dee Sinclair, who represents Quarry and Risinghurst, has been elected to serve in the Oxford City Council role this year.
Saturday morning’s parade, from Broad Street, included fellow councillors and performances by bands and morris dancers.
Ms Sinclair, who led the procession, said: “It was an absolutely fantastic day. People were looking at them rather than me thankfully.
“I wanted to turn around and find out what was going on behind me.”
There were also representatives from Bonn, Germany, to celebrate Oxford’s twinning link with the city.
