A BANBURY primary school has been granted nearly £700,000 to build six new classrooms.
Dashwood Banbury Academy was given £686,900 from the Government via the Academies Capital Maintenance Fund for the development.
An extra class for reception pupils will be ready by September, with the rest to be completed for September 2014.
Dr Fiona Hammans, executive principal for the Aspirations Academies District that includes the school, said: “We’re thrilled.
“We’ve been in the dreadful position of having to refuse admission.”
