POLICE have released an e-fit image of a man wanted for attempting to abduct a small boy.

The man approached the boy as he was playing outside in Overbrook Gardens, Blackbird Leys, on Saturday at 11.45am.

The boy’s mother heard them talking in the garden, and when her partner went outside they were no longer in front of the property. He ran down the street and found the boy and man at the junction with Three Corners Road.

The man then ran off. He is white, aged 30 to 40, more than 6ft tall and of stocky build.

Chief Insp Cecilia Agger said: “During the school holidays and with the weather getting warmer children will be playing outside and we are reminding parents to encourage them not to play alone but to stay in groups and under appropriate parental supervision.”

Call police on 101 with information.
