LAST year Kym Jones and her team were creating landscapes for the Olympic village, now they have scooped an award at the Chelsea Flower Show.
Staff at Applied Landscape Design in Chesterton near Bicester have been celebrating after winning a silver gilt award in the environment (flora) category at the show, organised by the Royal Horticultural Society.
They created an interpretation of a living Coast Redwood Forest exhibit to mark the centenary of the Garden Club of America (GCA).
Managing director Ms Jones and colleague Veronica Flemming had won scholarships from the GCA to study in the US, in 1991 and 2004 respectively, and wanted to pay the organisation back.
Landscape architect Ms Jones said: βIt was a real honour.β
