LONDON Welsh today hinted they are more likely to remain in Oxfordshire next season than return to the capital.
Welsh chairman Bleddyn Phillips issued a long statement in which he said there were “at least two or three opportunities” available for a ground next season, including staying at the Kassam Stadium.
Phillips said more of the Exiles’ supporters favoured staying in the Oxford area over returning to Old Deer Park, Richmond, but that “remains very much an option”.
He added that they hoped to make a decision “within the next week to ten days”.
Welsh will play in the Championship next season after Newcastle’s promotion to the Aviva Premiership confirmed their relegation.
