FOUR years ago Quin Coetzer took part in a summer school to learn the basics of stained glass.

He loved the course so much the customer services manager set about teaching himself the skills of the craft and created a series of work including garden panels.

This year Mr Coetzer took part in Artweeks for the first time and opened his garden in Mill Close, Deddington, for people to view some of his work.

The 33-year-old said: “What I love about stained glass is that it captures different light, providing a constant array of colour, and my tall, stained glass panels provide colour on the dull days.

“This was my first year taking part. I have exhibited at other craft events and the response has always been great.

“Artweeks is a fantastic way of involving other people who might think that art is limited to a few ‘Old Masters’ paintings.”
