A VILLAGE opened its doors for Artweeks with the hope of uncovering the next Leonardo da Vinci or David Hockney.
Residents in North Aston created a community exhibition with 66 items on display, including paintings, photographs and a metal construction in the shape of an “H” which has used £1 coins.
Work also included drawings, “arty furniture” and a bronze horse sculpture which all featured in The Spirit of North Aston exhibition at St Mary’s Church.
Organiser Kildare Bourke-Burrows said the idea of the village creating a joint exhibition was to “uncover talent”. He added: “We wanted to see what talent and imagination is out there.”
