ARTIST Jan Harvey was inspired by the area she lives in for her latest exhibition.
The Shipton-under-Wychwood 51-year-old used watercolours, acrylics and photography to portray the beauty of the Evenlode Valley in her exhibition The Outstanding Beauty of The Wychwoods.
She said: “As I drive to The Wychwoods from Burford there is a sign saying, ‘You are now entering an area of outstanding natural beauty,’ “Shortly after this I drive over the brow of the hill and see the valley spread out below.
"No matter what time of day and whatever the weather, it is a beautiful view. I always think it’s good to have a reminder that I am very lucky to live in a place that is so lovely.”
Her exhibition ran from May 18 to May 27 at The Garden Gallery in Shipton-under-Wychwood.
