A 17-YEAR-OLD suffered facial injuries and concussion after an “completely unprovoked” robbery in Oxford.

The victim was walking along a cycle path near Blackbird Leys Road when he was attacked by three youths at about 10.30am on Tuesday. 

The attackers, who stole the victim’s mobile phone, were described as being between 16 and 18 years old.

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of assault and has been released on bail until July 22.

Dc Darren Pomroy said: “This was a completely unprovoked attack on a man as he walked along a cycle path in Cowley.

“During the incident he was assaulted and suffered injuries to his face and concussion.”
