A PARANOID schizophrenic who raped a pensioner with dementia after breaking into her home has had his sentencing adjourned.
Daniel Smith, from Milton Keynes, pleaded guilty to one count of rape and one count of burglary following the incident in West Oxford on December 1 last year.
Oxford Crown Court heard yesterday the 23-year-old has been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia.
He is due to appear again for sentencing on August 19, after a second psychiatric report has been prepared.
