ORGANISERS are hoping their children’s charity football tournament will be bigger and better than ever this year.

Andrew Baker, 24, has spent 10 years fundraising for the Oxford Children’s Hospital in Headington.

Mr Baker, from Didcot, had a complex brain operation in 2001 and set up the annual charity tournament Play2Give in 2007 to thank doctors.

Co-organiser Dale Harris, from Cowley, has also been a tireless fundraiser for the hospital to thank staff for the lengthy treatment his daughter Mya, who has spina bifida, has had. Mr Baker said: “Each year it just grows and grows, raising vital cash for top-notch medical gear.

“This cause is really close to my heart.”

This year’s fun day runs from 9.30am at Oxford City football ground on June 16.
