THE Princess Royal will visit Abingdon this month to hand out medals to 270 troops recently back from Afghanistan.
Princess Anne will be honouring the troops of 12 Logistic Support Regiment at the medals presentation ceremony in Abingdon town centre on Friday, May 24.
The Dalton Barracks troops will line up at the fire station in Ock Street to march behind the Band of the Royal Logistic Corps to Market Square at 9.30am.
They have recently returned from six months in Afghanistan – their first tour.
The Queen’s daughter is the Colonel-in-Chief of the Royal Logistic Corps.
