BLUES musician Hamilton Loomis was an inspirational breath of a fresh air for harmonica players.

Mr Loomis, a protege of blues legend Bo Diddley, passed on his skills at a workshop on Thursday at The Jericho Tavern in Walton Street, Oxford.

Music promoter Philip Guy Davis, who organised the event and runs the Famous Monday Blues at the pub, said: “It was extremely good, I didn’t realise he was such a good teacher.

“He had them all playing the harmonica, even those who had not played one before.”
