OXFORDSHIRE County Council’s wish to take over the A34 (UK’s biggest car park) from the Highways Agency is laughable when they can’t even look after the county’s roads properly, with constant complaints about potholes and damaged road edges.
Should the plan succeed then are we to expect a further reduction in local road repairs in favour of maintenance to the A34?
The whole idea is ill-thought-out and is most likely a vote-grabbing operation when faith in the county’s local road structures is waning day by day.
