THESE smartly dressed war veterans were heading for London to meet old comrades.
Members of the Oxford branch of the Burma Star Association were about to leave by coach for the ninth Burma reunion at the Royal Albert Hall in 1955.
Many of the men had attended previous reunions as individuals, but this was the first at which the Oxford branch, the youngest in the association, had been officially represented.
