A MAN knocked down by a car in Cowley Road, Oxford, has given a description of the driver, who fled on foot.
The suspect was an “Afro-Caribbean male, about six feet tall with dreadlocks, and wearing a grey top”.
The car, a silver VW Polo, was hired, but the suspect was not the named driver.
His victim, in his early 20s, was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital at 10.40pm on Monday with a fractured skull.
