Actor Sir Ben Kingsley was due to visit a cinema last night to help raise funds to fulfil a nine-year-old’s dream.
Daisy Pashley, who lives near Chipping Norton, lost the lower parts of her legs and arms after contracting meningitis and now hopes to become a future paralympian.
The funds will purchase running blades for her.
Sir Ben was set to introduce a screening of Iron Man 3, in which he stars as The Mandarin, at Cineworld.
