THERE will a howl of complaints about the changes planned for The Plain roundabout and they will come from car drivers.
Oxfordshire County Council is looking at narrowing the busy eastern junction to make it safer for cyclists and encourage people to ditch horse for pedal power.
In a congested and constrained city like this, transport planners are right to look for innovative solutions to manage congestion.
But it needs to be absolutely certain that if it does make this change it gets it right because clogging the vital arteries off The Plain will be unacceptable.
